Mages guild bug at Vahtacen pillar

All the spells work on the pillar, except for the Fortify Magicka spell. I have tried restarting the game, I have crafted the spell, both touch and ranged version. The pillar electrocutes me instead. I can't progress with the mages guild quests anymore.

Did this quest yesterday with no issue, what about spell order?

Oh, by the way, i didn't have fortify magicka spell on target, so i have used the scroll from near chest instead.

I have just passed it. I did fire, frost, drain magicka and then I stood by the doorway and cast Fortify magicka.

Try using ranged spells only, for some reason it doesn't work with touch spells, at least for me.

it just doesn't work at all. Not with target spells, neither with touch. How to go through this bug? .... :(

well, I did it... I had to use spell on the central pillow, but instead i used spells on cristalls
