Did you use the console at any point? Console Commands disable achievements.

I was wondering if that's why I haven't received any since leaving the sewer. If that's the case, would making a new character enable achievements for them? personally I don't care for them and considering this game has a few bugs (one of the fighters guild quests) where you need to toggle god mode to not die by an unpatched bug, I'm not too worried about it but I am curious to no if its completely shut down for me now or not.

Console, mods, and any non native alteration of play stops achievements.

Yes, you can make a new character an get achievements on them, it's just the one you used them on is permanently disabled. It's pretty ♥♥♥♥ decision for those that like achievements when Console Commands are sometimes required to fix their spaghetti coded game.

I did, damn.
I accidentally lost achievements due to using console commands to fix a bug. Someone here linked me to a mod that reactivates them and allows you to use the console (game is pretty buggy so it's needed). It was super easy to download and worked for me, plus way better than making a new character!

As the poster above mentioned, there's mods to enable achieves when modding and using the console. Not sure if it works on a save after using console however

Just to point out, this won't let you get any achievement you might have missed, like a guild promotion as they only trigger once. Unless you can load a save from before you got it, you'd need to do it again.

It works at any time, just best used on a New Game.

I agree on console, but I am using a mod that loads in a new map texture (just a resource, so might not be that bad), one that alters the autoload-time after death and one that makes lockpicks into feather-spells by giving them a negative carry weight of -20.

So having a lot of lockpicks drastically reduces the weight of any currently carried gear. ^^

Achievements still pop for me. :wellok:

This is a classic case of needing to read the mod description, as there is information on how to activate your achievements that you know you have gained, retroactively, using the achievement unlocker, on a save that has previously had locked achievements. You don’t need to restart your game on a new save to benefit from it

I did read it, and that mod does't give you any achievements, you need a another different mod to do so.
So just opening the console blocks all achieves, even without using a command?

Hard to say what exactly, so best avoid it or install the mod that re-enables achievements.

Once again, you need to read the mod description.

Note that missed achievements won't be triggered by this, either reload a prior save and re-trigger them, or unlock them with the AddAchievement console command, list of commands below:

*spoilered list of commands to retroactively unlock your achievements that are blocked*

You do not need another mod. All you need to do is install the achievement unblocker, and type AddAchievement # for the achievements you know you have completed.
