Why does everyone hate my horse?

Seriously, every monster, animal, bandit, and every other hostile enemy runs right past me every time to attack my horse. I could be smacking the heck out of them or shocking the crap out of them and they pay no attention to me. THEY REALLY HATE MY HORSE.

I just chased a troll and a bandit who were both chasing my horse from outside Skingrad half way to Kvatch.

That could work with some builds have your horse tank everything while you damage. I know there is a heal other spell does it work on the horse? That could be a good way to raise restoration.

The short story is that your player character has a higher personality attribute than your horse. If you had used a spell to take your personality to 0, they would have attacked your character instead, haha. At least that has been the traditional explanation, I haven't tested it myself.

So the horse likely has a super low personality, that even my 30 personality orc got ignored?

Also wouldn't the dark brotherhood horse be amazing at aggroing enemies?

Huh. I see this just after some damned thing killed my horse while I was busy not getting killed nearby. Poor dumb horse. I mean... didn't even think "Eek! Run Away!" ? :)

They do have a flee script unfortunately it seems to take a lot of damage from one hit to trigger it. At lower levels they just charge in even the guards mounts will do this which can lead to funny moments.

It's because the horse does more damage and is tankier than you.
