Gonna keep bumping this until we get a convo going about this bug since every time i try get help with an actual oblivion related problem it gets buried by the usual trolls harping on about gender and creating 5 hundred million threads on it every 5 seconds. Even after now getting to move the count away from his hidey hole next to his wifes bed he now just stays in the corner of the court and will not move.

I have taken the cure but this quest will not go any further, it just sticks here.
BTW if you haven't heard, the Unofficial Oblivion Patch was ported to the remaster, so definitely install it. It fixes a lot of bugs like this.

He will not move so there is no picking into his room, tried that but the only way he will move is if you attack him and then like i said he will find you and tell you to go away and then remain in the spot he spoke to you for eternity. If bethesda expect people just to accept this as part of the originals charm though that is a pretty crappy move on their behalf.
