Edit: Filled gems are also lighter in color.
Edit 2: If it's worth 500g, it's Grand. 350g for Greater. And who cares about the rest as they're garbage.
well, both work either way~
You don't have to use it to check its cost... it also saves you an extra click from going into the details. 500g = grand. 350g = greater. Everything else is worthless and can be thrown into your enchanted weapons without a care.
Ergo, you can't tell by looking at the icon or the value, only by the "show details" key.
It seems inconsistent for the petty soulgems. They look the same, but have different prices (because some are filled). Seems weird.
Did you fill the gems yourself or did you find them like this?
Pics?
That hasn't been my experience, at all. Every gem that is unfilled is darker and to the down/right. Every gem that is filled is lighter and to the down/left. Maybe a visual bug.
I noticed something annoying regarding black soulgems, or my memory is faulty. They can now trap the soul of everything, not only humans (or whatever player race).
Timecode 3:50
I agree that there are soul gems as described by you, but I think these can only be bought or stolen.
The ones I filled look exactly as the ones that are unfilled.
