i have steam cloud and overlay disabled, nevertheless i have no files in my documents/my games/oblivon remastered.

just steam_autocloud.vdf in saved/savegame.

i don't think it(s normal that there are config files nor saves.
any idea?

documents is the folder, there's only one in C:\Users\YourName\
that's where every bethesda game saves are

Note that they're on the C drive path regardless of whether your Documents folder is actually someplace else

(at least they are on C: for me, even though my 'real' Documents folder is actually on F:).

EDIT: %USERPROFILE% path, not necessarily C:

Type 'Controlled Folder Access' into your Windows search bar - this will open Security / Ransomware Protection. If the feature is enabled Oblivion will fail to write saves and configs to the Documents folder.

Select 'Allow an app' and add 'OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe'.
It should also appear in the recently blocked list.

Disable Onedrive Backups.

Open onedrive in your taskbar -> top right corner click the cog icon -> manage backups -> UNtick Documents folder.

it's not enabled.
and other games like fallout4, etc... have no problem creating folders and files, saves in
C:\Users\myname\Documents\My Games

ok i get it, when i go there using windows explorer ( c then users then username etc .... ) every files are there.
but when i just open my documents then my games etc ... through the usual fast access ( like start -> documents ... ) or just clicking on documents in the main windows explorer windows the oblivion remastered folder is empty.
it does this only for oblivion

You can go to %USERPROFILE%\Documents.

(in my case %APPDATA% is somewhere else, as is my 'real' documents folder, but apparently I never moved the root profile)

You probably have another program making it read only and the game does not have the proper permissions to read and write there.

Check your antimalware program, also try doing the old "run as administrator" if you still have UAC active.

This game only support Windows 10 / 11 officially.

it's just this onedrivre ♥♥♥♥ that still exist even though i removed it from my comp ages ago.
the fast access to "documents", "desktop", "pictures" etc ...; has a location on onedrive instead of local.

for exemple if i clic on my documents then mygames it opens
C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\My Games

instead of
C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games
