How to make an OP Spell?
I see guides online that you can make a Drain Endurance, then Drain Health Spell at the Academy, but I try that, and it doesn't seem to work. Is there any use to the spell making post anymore?

Imo get your ideas about it. There is many different combos. Sometimes worth considering 100% weakness to magic or/and element in like 3 seconds duration as bonus. Now I don't have a good idea about the strongest spell and I don't think it does matter because okay spells can damage hard.

> damage stamina = easy 120s paralysing spell. even things like 5 or 10 per second over 120s are tremendously powerfull, because mechanically, if your stamina get below 0, you fall on the ground and can't get up until it's positive again. Which will never happen if you take more stamina per second than what you regen in fight (lowered). So target rush at you, try to attack you, wasting precious stamina, and as soon as they reach 0, they fall down and are completely helpless for the rest of the duration of the spell.

> Instead of flat damage (that require huge amount of mana and skill), you can substitute it by damage over time. Several element spell will be easier to handle than single element one.

For exemple : 200 pure fire damage will be extremely hard to use (100 mastery, huge cost)
50 damage of fire/cold/lighning/whither will be easier. And 10 of each element over 5s will be even easier.

In OG i could quickly create and use a spell that would deal 200 damage over 5s that way ( 10 of each element for 5s), it would only cost half my mana and require like 50 or 75 destruction or so. ( don't remember exactly). it should still work that way. Such a spell will carry you from early to late game, and can even be upgraded in the same fashion once you reach greater destruction milestone.

Also, because huhh... reasons ? Taking more damage than your max health as DOT ( you have 150 hp, you take 200 damage over 5s, so you'll die), would send target flying. Which means they would get flung over, get back on their feet, then die before being able to do anything about it.
