How to De-Level?
The leveling is way too fast. I have two mods installed tos low it and it's still way too fast. I am level 10- and enemy scaling groups stop scaling at level 25- and have literally only

-Wandered the imperial city
-Done 3 or 4 Sidequests
-Been to 4 caves
-Been to Aleswell, Bruma, and Weye
-Joined the Thieves Guild
-Gotten one Mages Guild recommendation

That's it. That's all I've done and I'm level 10. I should be, like. Level 4. 5 if I'm lucky.

Is there an easy way to de-level with console commands? Do I have to do the math and lower points or can I just knock myself down a few pegs?

You picked your majors poorly then if you decided to pick stuff that instantly levels you

Make a custom class and pick all skills you aren't going to use much as your majors and that way you can level like a snail
Do you guys have any clue how this game works, or are you just pulling ♥♥♥♥ from your ass?

All skills level you up now. And all skills level up faster than they used to. The base leveling speed is too fast, regardless of any other factors. This is an extremely common complaint. I am not asking for your (outdated, inaccurate) advice on picking major/minor skills. I am asking how to de-level.
Don't sleep in beds and you wont level. Rest outside like a real schizo hero of Kvach. Remember: Daedra hide in blankets.

This is also not an answer as you continue to level skills in the background. The very next time you sleep you will simply get all the levels you had built up.

Again. I am not asking for outdated, inaccurate advice- I am asking how to de-level.
you can't delevel unfortunately they made minor skills level you and it REALLY makes you level too fast, maybe you can use console commands but i don't know if it keeps your saved EXP and you won't just level up those skills up really fast

I'd recommend looking into the Ascension mod on Nexusmods, while the mod itself addresses Oblivions scaling problem it also comes with a second file that lets you tweak how much slower you want levelling to be. It's really straightforward and takes 5 minutes to set up

Stop using beds and you won't gain character levels, which stops enemies from scaling.

I'm always reminded of my friends that says "I didn't even learn I could level up until after I beat the game. It was so easy." Of course it was easy. Their enemies were all level 1-3 while they were basically running around as a level 30-40.

Either start over, or if you're talking about skills specifically, you can de-level them from serving prison time. But you generally are only doing that if you want your main level to go higher, not lower.

You have to sleep multiple times for that.
Went from lvl 6 to lvl 14 1 lvl at the time.

No this tips is accurate. Dont sleep and you will not level up freezing your level at level 10 forever. You technically can level up all of your skill to 100 and stay at level 10 forever. You can choose whenever you are ready to level up. There is only a bunch of quest where it forced you to sleep to trigger it. Technically you dont need to sleep ever.

If you really need to de level for whatever reason player.setlevel should be the console command. Never tried it in remaster since its disable achievement.

I personally found leveling was a tad fast for me too. There is a mod on nexus that lets you slow down leveling or, if required speed it up. I personally am trying 0.5x speed. But there is slower on there too. There is 0.75, 0.25, and a really silly one at like 0.01 or something :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
I'm sure if you search for slower levelling mod, you can find it. Not sure i will be allowed to link it for you.
Also, you can change it up during mid play. I found 0.75 wasn't slow enough and switched to 0.5 and had no issues.

If a quest has a time window you can just use the map to wait or if you want to role play you can find somewhere to sit. Although you want to be careful as I have had instances where I get stuck in a table or another chair when I stand up.

I don't use console commands but a quick google search will give you some commands to use. The mentioned player.setlevel is listed or you could just go god mode then the level scaling wouldn't matter.
You'll lose stats if you go to prison, slowing your ability to level up.
