Still no update/patch for performance?
I'm seeing so many people with performance issues its crazy, i have friends on hardware just outside of the system requirements struggling to play the game at all. I have a friend on a 4090 who can hardly play the game in 1440p with a steady framerate. I know UE5 is the worst thing to happy to gaming since fortnite but id have thought we'd have seen an update by now for something. Even the PC gamespass version has had 2 updates for performance so far.

You say you are using a 4090, downgrade to driver 366.36 and your stutters and crashes should go away.

oo thank you i'll let my mates know about that, i don't personally have a clue how to mod im too worried i'd break something lol

You just have to download one file and replace the original game version. It's incredibly easy and there are instructions on the main page.

https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/35?tab=description

Just remember to backup the original file as a precaution. (Create a new folder titled Engine ini Backup and move the original file into there instead of deleting it.)

its not change the fact the game was poorly optimized ,
its not the fault of UE5 ( there's plenty game with better graphics , that perform better )
its not the fault of user config

game visual on this remaster isn't the big visual game , its just "normal"

and what about ,crash , bug ..

YES, BUT...are you ACTUALLY PLAYING the game?????? Please remember, this game was NEVER OPTIMIZED to be played at 4K- not THEN, NOT NOW- Please stop being (along with EVERY OTHER thread gushing with mock outrage at the game's (surprising? hell NO) inability to actually generate useful FPS at 4K (or even 2K) , and meeting the base definition of insanity, and turn your settings DOWN ...and please enjoy the game....
I can't even begin to explain how unimaginably stupid that statement is.

Try out the "Ultimate Engine Tweaks" mod on Nexus. It's just .ini file replacement. People with low-medium end hardware are seeing significant performance improvements, and higher end rigs are getting fewer frame drops/stutter. Hardware Lumen was unplayable on my 7800X3D/4090 prior to using this mod.

This was exactly the mod I was going to recommend. It works great, although after some time (could be half an hour, could be two hours) the GPU RAM usage creeps back up (i've hit 7500+ mb on my RTX4060) but saving, quitting and reloading fixes this. Isn't an issue with the mod though - mod is superb, game is massively improved by it.

Once again, is YOUR goal to 'paint the game at the HIGHEST possible resolution with the highest possible frame rates....or to ACTUALLY play the game?

Those in-game tweaks don't work at all. I tried them all, and none of them do what I need, which is to get rid of the massive stuttering happening in-game. I have a good rig: 4070 Super, 14th-gen i-9, 32 gigs of RAM, etc.

This is the reason why I do not normally buy things at launch. I took a chance out of ten f*king years of not buying ANYTHING at launch. This remaster could have been gold, and it is as a remaster, but not as a playable game. This is one of the worst launches I have seen since Cybergarbage 2077.

This is why I HATE the gaming industry, and not to mention the incessant greed of these shareholders/publishers/CEOs. I am sick of the entertainment industry altogether. It's getting to the point where buying video games is a waste of time and money. There are so many games that never get fixed, even after numerous patches and years of patching.

This industry is a joke that is stealing our money because we just give it away. I have no idea if my good rig will be able to play this game properly, even after updates. I guess time will tell, whenever the f*ck these updates come out for Steam users. I mean, imagine paying 60 bucks for something and not being able to play it.

When I review a game, I give a 0 if two things happen:

1. The game struggles to start
2. The game isn't playable

By "playable" it means that a game must not:

a. Have excessive crashing
b. Must not damage hardware
c. Must not cause adverse effects (like sound suddenly blasting)
d. Must not have graphical effects or issues that cause negative physiological responses*
e. Must not stutter excessively
f. Must not corrupt save games, if the game must save
g. If it the game is ONLINE, then the service must be ONLINE 95% of the time or greater
h. The game cannot come out polished less than an indie game of similar scope

^ And for having those standards, I get eviscerated any time I say a game is bad or a "0" score. I just laugh because those are the literal minimum expectations EVERYONE should have.

But the modern gamer must consume. They don't have expectations anymore -- only the urge to buy and consume. Too much media consumption and not enough literacy does have the effect after all.

I’m hoping for the VRAM warning fix. I’m stuck in a dungeon every time i try to leave, I get a VRAM warning and then my pc shuts down.
I9-14400k, RTX 5080, 32gb Ram.

I’ve tested some of the online fixes but nothing yet works for me.

You're not supposed to play the game in 4K? Why is it an option then?

Nah...I'm guessing it ONLY broke those who somehow had FORCED the game to run in 4K mode.....which it’s NOT designed to do....

I have seen probably the most technically inept users ever within these oblivion forums, but this takes the cake

That error with a 13/14th gen Intel CPU often means that your CPU is dying from Voltage Degradation. Especially if the entire system is shutting down. Game crashes don't normally cause computer resets in modern Windows.
