Terrible difficulty system

I played through Skyrim at least 20 times so I thought I could handle the MASTER difficulty but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this games difficulty system is stupid. I have a Katana dropped by one of the imperial guard of the emperor, and with it I need to hit a rat 50 times to kill it, a wolf 30 times and a random bandit wearing fur armor 100 times.
Are you freaking kidding me? Now Im forced to use cheats to play or I get wrecked by anything that moves.
How do I boost my damage?

Unfortunately thats how this game works, it was a notorious problem way back when the game came out as well. They built everything around leveled lists to a fault which means enemies are super spongy. Skyrim did a lot to improve on the system.

Summons hit as hard as the enemies. Other than that, dont use master difficulty, its just broken and pretty senseless. But there are mods.

You are not forced to use cheats, just drop the difficulty to the intended level?

It's really an odd difficulty setting. I tried Adept at first but after a few levels i just kept dying and really struggled. Yeah yeah skill issue but i lowered it to apprentice and i take basically no damage at all?? I can one hit all contestants at the Arena and just stand still not do anything and no matter how much they attack me i basically take no damage.

literal skill issue. just drop the difficulty if youre having an issue.

Its always been terrible.

Just set it at a difficulty where its basically the normal difficulty, and you'll be fine.
