SSD or HDD?
So i have installed it on an HDD, and ofcourse bad performance just like everyone else. Normaly i switch to SSD but because of Star Citizen... i have no MB's left... Does it perform way better on SSD instead of HDD? or is the game just bad opitmzed?

Both are true.
SSD will help for sure, but it isn't optimized very well either.
More importantly you need at least 32GB of RAM IMO and min 8GB videocard, to run this game fairly smooth.
SSD Required on steam store page

wonder how many people running this on hdds and then complain about bad performance

play this on an SSD. you will get less stutters. but in terms of the average framerate... fingers crossed

SSD and HDD ended up being irrelevant to my performance problems in the game. SSD obviously loads significantly quicker but it still stutters like mad. Performance mods on Nexus have made it decent enough for now. HDDs aren't as useless as people make them out to be. I've played very few games where it has negatively impacted performance once in the worldspace.
considering this game has a loading screen every 5 seconds when you're running errands in town, you're gonna want an SSD. The only other problem would be textures and ♥♥♥♥ will take longer to load after entering a new area too.

Might be ALOT lol. It was the same with Star Citizen. That game runs 10 x better at SSD.

thank you !!
Texture pop in will be should be massively reduced running on an SSD, and this game already suffers with really bad texture pop in after loading into a new area, even on an SSD.

Your load times should decrease too, and again, this game already suffers with fairly meh load times even on an SSD.

Not sure about general performance but you might see less hitching, but everyone has hitching right now. You are probably best installing it on your SSD, would be the best experience IMO for titles like this or KCD.

No they arent usseless ofcourse not. But still it COULD help ALOT. with some games.
Little update, it did helped a bit. But not enough to be really enjoyed. Sadly.

Short answer, SSD. Never use a HDD anywhere anytime anymore it is outdated a long time ago Everywhere.
