racial base speed modifier?
Never mind any controversial discussion going on about the changes made in the remaster, this is a genuine question.

Is racial and gender base speed disparity still a thing? I'm curious because from what I remember male wood elves were the slowest characters in the game and I'm considering playing either male or female bosmer for my next playthrough.

Male/Female differences got moved to the new origin options.

Oppose sexism. Double down on racism.

Wood elves are one of the fastest actually

https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Races

Starting speed of 50 regardless of m/f in original. I believe it is the same for this remaster.

Actually, that chart has the information i'm talking about. See the height value? That's not the visual representation of each race's scale, but a speed modifier:
"Each race's movement speed is multiplied by its Height attribute (under Body Data in the Construction Set). With the same Speed, Athletics, encumbrance, etc., a High Elf will move 10% faster than an Imperial because of the extra Height. Similarly, any race that is smaller than normal, such as a male Wood Elf or female Breton, will move slower than normal.

But do the origins also affect the "height" modifier? see here: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Races

Ah, I thought you were just talking about the speed attribute

Anyway, with speed at 100 now and athletics pretty high as well, I don't find it to be noticeable or a problem that affects me personally.
