A missed opportunity for horse combat

i know its ineffective but would be nice still to dispatch weaker enemies without having to dismount. historically horses were used to shock and awe an enemy formation before withdrawing, Horsemen were never meant to engage in prolong combat with footmen as they were highly exposed.
