Console commands make achievements unobtainable until you delete everything and reinstall
This is actual constructive criticism. In every Bethesda game, if someone used console commands, their achievements would only be turned off until they turned the game off and turned it back on. Then though, they could continue to play that save whilst still getting achievements assuming they didnt use console commands again during that play through. In this game though, if you use console commands, you can start a whole new save with no console command usage, and you still wont be able to get achievements. You actually have to delete all your saves, even ones with no console command usage, uninstall and reinstall the game, and only then after starting a new save can you get achievements. Next time, would you mind putting in a warning? "IF YOU USE CONSOLE YOU WONT GET ACHIEVEMENTS UNTIL YOU BURN EVERYTHING AND REINSTALL". Would have saved me a lot of time and effort. Thanks guys great game

Not New Vegas or Skyrim. you could turn the game off and turn it back on and achievements work on the same save you used console commands on

I almost was forced to use the console to unstuck myself from the falling rocks that occur in certain caves to kind of signify "not this way". Thankfully I managed to jank myself free after a minute of mashing spacebar kek.

Your point is that you have to delete everything and reinstall, and the comment you're responding to proves that it's ok, you don't.

If you marked it as your answer, people would see it when they open the thread and you'd save some fellow gamers a bit of misery
Honestly though - your lucky we can even use the console?

What did you need that couldn't be done with "WeMod" or "Cheat Engine" that you could only do via the in-game console that disables achievos?

Personally for example - I use "set timescale" a lot as I prefer real-time, but need to change it back to "30" from "1" to do certain quests (like when you need to wait for Janus in Skingrad - he can bug out due to how changing timescale effects schedules resulting in needing to use "Wait" to fix it all the time otherwise).

This is a prime example of needing it too - however I noted that "tcl" does not seem to do anything anymore (can't walk through people/walls or fly or anything).

That could have changed though and I just didn't look into it yet. An interim fix would likely however be "player.setscale to .1" so your tiny and walk out?

Yes, as it should be? That said, there's mods that re-enable achivements.

And well, you not supposed to cheat do you.

HA.. HAHA... HAHAHAHA....

That's funny. Thanks, I need to laugh like that. Why don't you go back and read the EULA instead of vomit up something you heard from a youtuber/streamer that isn't actually correct anyway. Ill give you a hint. CTRL+F, search for the keyword "mod" and then reread section D.

https://store.steampowered.com/eula/2623190_eula_0

There is one clause about mods, and guess what, it doesn't actually impact any other persons, therefore, while they may not support them officially, it is absolutely NOT against TOS/EULA to mod Oblivion Remastered

they're against tos in every game, it's standard boilerplate eula, means nothing really
I was under the impression it functioned like every Bethesda game since Skyrim SE, where if you use console commands or mods, achievements get disabled for that save file completely, but do not get disabled for every other save file you have that is of a different character.
