Big CPU trouble + stutter
Hello,
I have a 9800x3D and a 5070ti i play since yesterday i played like for 7 hours in a row. I stopped there.
Today i relaunch the game, now my CPU is at 100% in the menu and go at 96 degrees, i must wait for my like 3mn to calm it.
After that i launch the game, And now it's plenty of stutter my CPU peak many times at 100% and get 95 degrees that cause stutter.
Yesterday everything was find, today was an horrible experience.

i play en on 3440x1400.

Does anyone have this trouble ? il ready tryed to reload the shaders

My PC has a 7600, 4070 super.

Seems like I'm having a similar issue? Whenever I launch the game and loading through splash screens and into main menu it stutters like crazy, CPU temp spikes and fans go crazy. I can't even load a save because it stutters too bad and I close out cuz I'm afraid I'm frying my cpu. I played for about 4 hours with no issue until a few days ago when this started happening. One time I was able to launch with low enough stutter to load my save and from then it ran fine. Every attempt since has forced me to close game out of fear.

I'm assuming its a game engine issue and not my PC; I tried running cyberpunk immediately after and had no issues.
I should mention I'm playing through Xbox app, unsure if that has anything to do with it. I initially bought the game on steam before realizing it was on gamepass and then got a refund and started playing on Xbox app.

Can't recommend it highly enough. Everything you described are common UE5 woes, this engine.ini tweak is meant to address a lot of them.
A couple thing

9800X3d will never go over 95 degrees it will downclock itself at that temp.

So you will need to improve your cooling (I had to do the same thing last week with Stalker 2, bought a new cooler because UE5 make cpu go very hot).

High temp during the first minute of the game are caused by Shader warm-up. Instead of doing it in a special menu like Stalker 2 they do it in game. Bad idea, but you save 2 minutes of waiting at the start of each game.

So boot the game and just wait until the CPU usage get normal.

So yeah, you need a new cooler.

Also, is Framegen on or off? With Stalker 2 framegen increased my temps by about 15 degrees, on Oblivion it look more normal.
IT WORKED!

Thank you for the insanely fast response. Good GOD UE5 is cursed.

Just wanted to double check: I am free to change graphics settings in game?

Not every system are equal, this either can help or worsen performance. This is why people with beefy PC report here with stuttering or crashing issues.
Side note Vyrtualis, do you have a similar config file for stalker?

Yeah as long as you set the ini to read only, you're good to change anything else in game.

Well yeah ini tweaks are not a one size fits all solution, but in this case it does actually fix a lot of common problems people are having with the engine.
