But is it just bugged or what? I don't want that quest there.

Yea it might be bugged now that you dont need training and he cant train you over 99 anyway so yea , chose another quest , and that should get buried with all the new quests you collect.
Its an old Bethesda game, save often and prepare to load hours back at times.

Try the jail option as mentioned above. murder some nobody, get cought and do long term time. you may loose at least 1 level in that skill, might be enough to kickstart the quest? AND at same time kickstarts the brotherhood :)

I didn't even know that's how that works
Getting jailed doesn't ruin anything? I want a good boy playthrough (for the most part) lmao

yea thats understandable, Doing time in jail will lower you in some skills and levels, you gain in some things like maybe endurance , ive not done it myself as im like you :) , but it can help lower levels slightly or maybe higher some in other areas!
Might have to try that, thank you!

I had my "good boy" playthrough ruined because I apparently stole something from the Mages' Guild while I was battling at Battlehorn Castle. Just in the middle of a fight and I got my expulsion notice. Checked my bounty... 1g. No idea how but it was a bug in the original too so I just laughed at the jank. Now, I'm murdering tons of people.

Yeah, I did go back a few saves. Apparently I had picked up the bounty, at least, 3 hours before but never had any consequences for it. No idea how killing one of the people at Battlehorn finally triggered the expulsion but it did. Also, no jail time if you don't get caught. :laughing_yeti: But yes, as soon as I realized how much time I'd lose to stop it, I said "well, guess I'm joining the Brotherhood now."
