The new voice acting...
...of the NPC's seems really out of place. It's like they used people from off the street or maybe from the Dev's office or something. Accents, vocal tone, just off.

I've noticed (only once so far) that the...idk..."localization" was way off. Like the person was obvioulsy standing in front of me, but it sounded like the recorded across the room from the microphone.

It was, jarring, to say the least.

Good quest though, can't remember, something about dreams, and saving a person from their own nightmares.....
Random Skyrim Argonians, Skyrim Orcs, Skyrim Nords, ect took me out of the experience sometimes

Its voice actors you would recognize from Skyrim. Nothing has struck me as out of place so far.

It does because the OG voice acting were highly theatrical and the news are subdue in their performance witch create a constrast.
It's AI that do the new voices, using the voices from Skyrim as the basis for the AI generation. That's why one line of dialogue can sound way different than another from the same NPC
Gotta love those Singaporean accent in your local Roman towns.

Sounds like the same actors they use in all their games to me!

To be fair, it kind of looks strange with all these NPCs looking all shiny and new with more realistic faces but still walking around looking like they were animated in 2006 and bumping into ♥♥♥♥..

It's jarring to me so put it on the list with the rest.
I agree...the new voice acting has reverb while the old doesnt

They should've recorded the new voice lines with the same settings as the original

Incredibly amateurish and a strak reminder of how the studio has changed over the years.

The original voice actors in Oblivion are actually really good, the writing, sometimes not so much.

This time, neither is good.

Don't just make up ridiculous conspiracy theories like that. If that were the case, it would be plastered all over the front page of every gaming news site.
I agree that the contrast between the highly theatrical og cast and the more grounded newer cast is jarring. Jason Marsden in particular I think did a bad job as the wood elves especially as Thadon in the Shivering Isles. The og cast did a good job and even if there weren't that many of them they were a major part of the game's charm.
