Rain and Lag
This game runs pretty well for me, 40-80 FPS outside of cities (80-110 with Frame Gen) except when it's raining, then it runs at 10-20 FPS with Frame Gen on. I found turning my Post-Processing down to 'Low' while looking straight down actually helps (changing your graphics settings while loaded into the game can mess up your performance too, though) but it's not a real solution.

Hopefully we have hot fixes on the way for these random problems, this is the only recurring bug I've run into so far.

I'm not sure why but I could hit 144 fps in the sewers and the moment I exited, it all plummeted to 25 fps (1% lows of 9 fps). Changing settings doesn't budge anything, so it looks like the game is constantly trying to process something. A restart might fix it if it's something I did in the instance (like hitting the emperor's protector and backstabbing then yielding repeatingly, and stealing their gold).

I used a configuration tweak to change the reflection and global illumination from lumen to screen space reflection. Maybe better to just disable it.

When you load a new cell does the drastic drop in performance persist, or does it eventually subside?

I undid the lumen tweak I did that disabled it, I think what happened is that the performance loss is due to me removing lumen from the getgo, the game client or UE5 wrapper is confused and kept 'calling' for lumen when there is none, which bottlenecked my GPU?

When I undo the tweak and leave settings at ultra and such, it runs faster with lumen enabled than I did before, weird.

Oh right, It's because I set nanites to 0, which broke all the trees and polygons in the area, but also did something to the game engine itself which lagged me like hell.

But yeah I lowered all settings to low on my RX 7900 XTX, ultrawide 1440p, just to have a smoother visual in the open world of Tamriel...
Then the game crashed when I changed settings and such to tweak it.

Basically, it's like a configuration eff up, the drop persists the whole time until I change it one way or another, but after changing it, I end up crashing it regardless lol.

I'll have to keep modifying and trying until I figure out what causes the crash... Might be the DXVK settings I'm trying to do with it.
