Bruma house
anyone else having the notes stuck in inventory after upgrading the house in Bruma? I can't drop them or put them into a container even when the quest is finished.

I am having the same problem. If I could find the hex codes for these items I could probably get the quest status removed from them. But they don't seem to be listed anywhere.

Okay, for anyone still having this problem, I know how to remove the items if you are on PC with keyboard and mouse.
You use the console command:

setquestobject "x" 0
where "x" is replaced with the hex codes for the individual house notes.

The house notes are as follows:

House bedroom area 000B1593
House Dining area 000B158D
House Kitchen Area 000B158E
House Lower Storage Area 000B1594
House Lower Wall Hangings 000B1595
House Study Area 000B1592
House Upper Sitting Area 000B1590
House Upper Storage Area 000B158F
House Upper Wall Hangings 000B1591

So if you were to want to remove House Bedroom Area note, you would type

SetQuestObject 000B1593 0
This will set its quest status to 0 and it can now be removed by normal means. Note that this doesn't actually remove it for you, but it allows you to now go store it in a chest or desk in your home.
To avoid the finger fatigue/simplify the process above, you can also try this plugin: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/3632

I personally avoid plugins whenever they aren't necessary. And people can certainly use it, but should be aware of both options. So thanks for posting that. Now each player can decide which way they want to do it.

Kudos
I'm having the same issue with the house in Chorral (in addition to the Bruma home). I'll scour the interwebs for those item codes and take care of those as well. Thank you!
