Best place to store "goodies"?

Hello all. I stored all of my goodies at the Arcane University in a chest in the Mage's quarters, went to the chest later on and everything was gone. Went to an earlier save and grab all the goodies from the chest (did not lose much time). Is there a safe place to store the "goodies" until I can buy a house or get the Arch Mage quarters?

the first thing i did when i got out of the sewers was buy a house in cheydinhal for 15000 gold. didn't take me very long at all, maybe about a dozen dungeons. i've even got all the furnishings for it at this point.

I have always used the "♥♥♥♥ Shack" on the Imperial City Waterfront. That's where I store all of my ♥♥♥♥ and where the Adoring Fan is kept.

its basically just a bedroom with a fireplace and a table but its considered a home by the game

same, the house is small so its easy to get to the chest, its close to the teleport so you dont have to run very far and its located in the middle of the map which makes it good for dropping items then teleporting somewhere else
