Game performance
I honestly cannot wrap my head around all the complaints of the game performance. I would imagine as a developer how frustrating it would be to deal with PC customers. OH I have 20 tabs open on my browser with 19 torrents downloading in the background and a couple YouTube videos playing but the game is running like crap? I have a Ryzen 7800X3D and a Nvidia 3080ti and run it on Ultra. No stutters, average 70FPS or more. Do you have the most current chipset drivers, video card drivers, current MOBO bios? The list of things that could effect game performance is never ending. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

I just bought a new pc a few months ago, and not a cheap one and I have stattering lately while I haven't had it for hours and now I got constant crashed too after ten hours of playing the game so yeah the game has some serious performance issues, that you don't have them doesn't mean other people can't complain about it when they actually do

If there aren't bugs you aren't playing an Elder Scrolls game, Bethesda is legendary for their buggy games.

People don't want an average of 60 or 70 FPS.

They want a minimum of 60 FPS (or 1% low). Especially running at 1080p.

You can do it on a decent number of GPUs, but it requires frame generation to get decent results.

Personally, frame generation doesn't bother me (it's a useful feature), but lots of people avoid using it.

There's also this very useful piece of information in the system requirements:
"Performance scales with better hardware"

The translation for this, is that you probably want better hardware, than is listed in the recommended specs (such as an RX 6800XT or RTX 2080).

I have a 1080 with 8GB of RAM. No issues with performance on high, lmao. I truly am curious what people are doing on their rigs to experience so many game-breaking crashes and bad performance.

You have misread the complaints regarding 'performance.' What people meant is that the performance does not justify the graphics. There are better-looking UE5 games that run better on worse hardware.

Lol either the veil of shadow drop is draped over your eyes, or you are just trolling. I am running the same set up, 1440p, 7800x3d, and a 3080ti on even medium settings and this game is a stuttery mess, whenever I am in an outside environment. I want to play it so bad, but I start to get a headache after like 15 minutes. What is your monitor resolution?

No for real, those are my specs. I am running it on a Samsung 49" Ultra Wide OLED screen as well HDR and Adaptive sync. I have played for i think a little over 20 hours and I have only crashed once with that same crash that everyone seems to be getting eventually. I do notice in the Nvidia App that when I shut down the game that there is 5 to 7 gb in the run cache but I have Microsoft PC Manager auto clean that stuff so maybe that helps?

Not quite - Performance and optimisation is just poor...

There has to be a common denominator in the systems that are having issues and the systems that are not. Plenty of people with Intel or AMD CPU's and NVIDIA and AMD cards are not having the issues that are afflicting a bunch of people.

The game runs like tripe,im sick of people defending it

It has memory leaks that cause gradual frame rate break down, longer loading times bwtween cities and wilderness and glitches

It also stutters all over the place and is EXTREMELY inconsistent with its frame pacing

It runs garbage on my steam deck,it runs garbage on nvidia geforce now,it runs garbage on my sons high end pc ... it runs ok on my other sons xbox series x

The game is a mess .. accept it,i cant play and enjoy it at all,its a grear game yes but it DOES run like ♥♥♥♥

I am not sure. Maybe that could be helping. Where do you see the run cache? I'll try to have mine to the auto clean.

The game looks and performs horrible compared to properly modded Skyrim.

There is no excuse this game runs the way it does, it's extremely sloppy.

Agreed man. I think it needs a few months to bake, a shame since I am extremely impatient when it comes to Elder Scrolls titles lmao!

Add me to the list of those with issues. The game is playable but only with FG and even that drops to the 60s at times with a 4070 paired with a 5800x3d. Can't seem to get my GPU to run at or near 99% either in this game. It likes to sit around 50-60%. It seems like a typical CPU bottleneck, but going to 1440p does not help at all and usually it does if the issue was purely a CPU bottleneck. Still unsure what to think beyond the game just being borked. Now, I am still using Nvidia's driver 566.36 because the newer drivers have had crashing and other issues. Not sure if the game would perform better on newer drivers at this time. What makes my situation weird though is that it seems that if I try DLSS or FSR, it does not help with the framerate at all vs DLAA or native. If I go to Ultra settings, the framerate drops, but the overall GPU usage still doesn't shoot up.
