it says 16 gig minimum, 32 recommnded.
mine has 16 gig total, but some of that is taken up by the OS. I can really only comfortably run 8 gig games. i think the most demanding game i have is elden ring (store page says 12 minimum, 16 recommended) and that was pushing it to the limit. my fan was in turbo mode constantly.
I tried playing baldurs gate 3 and for some reason couldn't handle it, even though the store page says 8, i barely got past the character creation and had like 15 FPS , had to refund it.
anyway, on the thread subject, i didn't know people were talking about this for the last 4 years. I have't seen a single thread on skyrim, oblivin, morrowind, dagerfall forums about this remaster.
I just remember a while back saying i wouldn't be surprised if they did this and people told me i was crazy and now here it is.
like, where were they talking about it? facebook? twitter? i haven't used facebook in over a decade and have never had a twitter X account. I have never tweeted and will never make an Xcretion.
There's a thing called graphical settings... Lower them.
store page says 16 minimum. that signals to me that i would need 16 even at the lowest settings
You should upload a video of your gameplay to YouTube with the FPS counter + frame time graph showing.
16 gb is working fine for me. All these things the system (win11) only use 4-5 gb.
the thread was just about that i predicted they might do a remaster.
one response claims that "everyone knew about it for the past 4 years" and that i'm the only one living under a rock, but Gameranx made a video recently, about 10 new things in this version and they say "bethesde shadowdropped this on us", suggesting that people kinda didn't know about it.
the point is that i didn't know they were gonna do this, but i predicted it.
you can choose to believe me or choose not to.
for clarity. this is not a troll post. it's not negativity.
I just thought it was funny, because i said "watch them do a remaster, like they did with skyrim" and bam, they did one.
I admit, i probably would buy this if i had a reasonable amount of confidence i could run it.
yeah, i can buy it, try it , then refund it, but then the refund goes into steam wallet and yeah. .i'll just wait 5 years till my current rig dies and then go out and by like, a 64 gig rig or whatever they have 5 years from now.
and then i'll be having the same conversation when devs start dropping in 128 gig remasters. . .
Lol I feel you. 128 gig game...
