Keybind and item buffs

What is your preference to bind for casting and changing view? The default of V and C was a bad choice I like to talk to people in third person, I can't count the number of times I accidentally flared someone just trying to have a conversation.

There doesn't appear to be any icon shown when you equip an item with a resistance value or a buff like water breathing. There is a cool glowy electric effect shown on you in Third person but no icons like for spells or using an Ayelid well. Is there a toggle or something in the settings so they are shown?
