DO NOT USE DISCORD OVERLAY IF YOU LIKE ACHIEVEMENTS

Using discord overlay with Shift + ~ brings up the console as we all know. If literally anything is inputted into the console and accidentally entered, achievements are disabled, even if it isn't a command itself. Happened to me. Console was opened trying to reply to a message, and there was a "~" in the console command prompt. Once I hit enter to send the message the "~" was also inputted into the console, disabling all achievements.

BEWARE. It does not have to be a command to disable achievements. Anything accidentally entered into the console WILL disable achievements.

Also overlays kinda suck. Turn them all off :)

Ah ok. I saw some people were having issues not knowing why and wasn't sure if had been figured out. I know about the mod but only too late. I just finished the main quest and wondered why I didn't get my achievement. Frickin stupid I'll have to redo the main game if I want the achievement since it doesn't give you ones you were supposed to have earned

Yea that does suck for sure.

I hate that they did that with achievements. I'm 40 hours into playthrough and not getting achivements by mere accident. THIS and poor perfomance optimisation is enough for a negative review in my book

ah ♥♥♥♥, I'm 8 hours into my save and reading this made me take a look and yep, I accidentally hit the console key about 3 hours into my save and haven't been getting achievements for several hours now. Also picked up my save on my deck last night in bed, this morning my saves are missing on my PC. I was gonna play this all day but now I'm not so sure.

Using the console locks achievements for all games saved going forward. You can load a seperate character's saves, save and achievements will be locked for that character too.
