ITEMS DISAPPEAR FROM CONTAINERS IN PLAYER HOMES!
how is this possible? just stored a bunch of uniques in a cabinet and now they are lost.
I'm happy i'm able to reload a save but beware!!!
edit: the issue was with a certain cupboard next to the players "bed" in Deepscorn hollow

Did you buy upgrades for the house while they were stored there?
I'm just curious as a kind of warning system of things I should be mindful of.

Which player home(s)?

Just quicksave and then quickload and your missing stuff should reappear. That is an old bug from Oblivion and I was hoping they would fix it.

The more stuff you have in your chests the worse it gets.

It is not missing but simply invisible because Gamebryo in all its xbox 360 glory is unable to handle large amounts of items.

this is why i just find a dump cell where i leave things on the ground, Daggerfall? city center. Morrowind? caldera mages guild. Oblivion? benirus manor basement. Skyrim? no need to collect and store anything since you could just craft every item in the game.

1. What home specifically?
2. Did you purchase upgrades for the room you stored items in? Cause the game is very direct with replacing containers.

Is it by chance the armoire that you get the Raiment of the Crimson Scar from? I saw people mentioning that a bug was making that container respawn/not safe
There used to be a physics glitch where stuff on cabinets/shelves/tables could fall through to the floor or even out of the map. It's highly likely it remains in some form in the remaster. OG Oblivion had a few patches trying to fix this.

Personally, I only store important gear/unique gear in storage chests and use easy to obtain things for house decoration.

I did not purchase any upgrades to the house after storing items in the containers

Also, you could clip things off of shelves by walking by the furniture. From time to time I would have to put stuff back up on tables after I knocked stuff off it. Placed items would go flying off of tables if you sit at the chairs and the stuff collides with your body.

i remember back in xbox 360 days when you entered an inn or something in the game and sometimes all the items on the tables would just explode everywhere randomly, it gave a good laugh back then, and maybe it still would...
