Why is this note Free?
Alot of the games now-a-days either allow or aloud a free upgrade fore the enhanced edition.

Why is this not Free?

no one gives away remasters/remakes for free, PS5 upgrades for games are most of the time in my experience free but its not a remaster, i cant attest to Xbox if they have anything like that

Its a remaster/remake. Not a free upgrade you can download. In fact, they're almost never given away for free.

Cause this is a massive remaster, not a simple graphics upscaling and QOL update edition.

Remasters cost a lot of money, the game is 20 years old and can purchased for as little as $5. The quesiton isn't why isn't it free, the question is why would you expect it to be free?

You're thinking of the upgrade between an Xbox One and Series X version of a game.
This is a pretty heavy remaster of a 20-year-old game. New art, new animations, new UI, new lighting. It's not a full remake, but it's certainly not anything you'd see given away for free.

The OP would have sounded ridiculous whether it was a Democrat or Republican in office. It's not we've had four years of free remasters recently.
