My advice on Crashes. Beware
So my game ran perfectly fine...

Then i installed vortex and put few mods. Game crashes on launch.

Disabled mods. Crashes on launch.

Uninstalled vortex and game still crashes on launch.

I rechecked steam verify file integrity and game crashes on launch.

So, beware! If your game runs perfectly fine, then enjoy, and forget the mods for a month!!!

I have no idea what could possibly make my game crash but it does.

Try deleting the ~mods and LogicMods folders from steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks and run verify again. That worked for me.

edit: You can install mods manually and they work just fine.

steam won't check after download files nor any config files or added files
delete the oblivion folders here and try again:
C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\
C:\Users\*username*\Documents\My Games\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\
also good to clear the shader cache

I'm getting that one across multiple devices, steam deck, and at least 3 PCs that are at or above recommended specs completely vanilla whenever I hit certain points in Gold Coast

It's all very new, there's going to be some hickups. Glad that worked for you.

No mods used at all or ever installed, and mine crashes when loading between locations probably 5-10% of the time, once it corrupted a save and crashed when loading, only a couple of times has it crashed mid game. 16 hours in and its a pain in the arse, but I found hitting quick save before loading a new area at least stops me loosing progress. Be nice to have it not crash though - really enjoying the game for the first time.

I am on a five-six year old PC - Nvidia 2070 running on default medium graphics settings, and get about 60-120 FPS consistently.

If you use Vortex do not use it currently. It has problems with the plugin text file generation. It moves Oblivion.esm somewhere to the end of the file (if no mods loaded) instead of to the top. So the moment you start the game it immedately will crash with the access violation exception. I noticed it while comparing the Vortex generated plugin txt file with the Vanilla generated no mods plugin txt file. This is how Vortex generates it:
# This file was automatically generated by Vortex. Do not edit this file.
AltarDeluxe.esp
AltarESPMain.esp
DLCBattlehornCastle.esp
DLCFrostcrag.esp
DLCHorseArmor.esp
DLCMehrunesRazor.esp
DLCOrrery.esp
DLCShiveringIsles.esp
DLCSpellTomes.esp
DLCThievesDen.esp
DLCVileLair.esp
Knights.esp
Oblivion.esm
But the vanila game expects this:
Oblivion.esm
DLCBattlehornCastle.esp
DLCFrostcrag.esp
DLCHorseArmor.esp
DLCMehrunesRazor.esp
DLCOrrery.esp
DLCShiveringIsles.esp
DLCSpellTomes.esp
DLCThievesDen.esp
DLCVileLair.esp
Knights.esp
AltarESPMain.esp
AltarDeluxe.esp
AltarESPLocal.esp
The access violation exception is not related to file access issues it is related to Bethesda's game engine failing to load the master file on time. Therefor dependency mods fail to load ending in the *50 access violation being thrown by UE5.
