Refund request denied
I wanted to play this game so bad. I love what I've seen. But I spent less than 2 hours playing, and the rest of my 3.6 hour total playtime was spent trying every setting imaginable to get it to run on my laptop. I guess my specs just aren't good enough. I downloaded mods to try to improve the performance, I installed DLSS Swapper, nvidia profile inspector, read discussions here and on reddit, watched YouTube videos. I cannot get the game to run above 30 fps on any combo of settings.

I explained this in my refund request, but my playtime exceeded 2 hours, so Steam denied me. Yes, my playtime exceeded 2 hours. But it wasn't 3.6 hours of PLAY time, Steam. It was less than 2 hours creating a character and getting out of the sewers, and almost 2 hours of running around in circles, pausing the game, trying new settings, unpausing, running around to see if the new settings worked, exiting to the main menu, changing settings, loading my save file, running around, pausing, changing settings, over and over. A huge waste of time and money for a game I can't play.

I've requested a refund on 1, maybe 2 games, in the 17 years I've been on Steam. I'm 43, I'm not a teenager trying scam Steam or Bethesda out of money. I saw 1% of this game. I can't play it. But these companies just want to steal my $50.

submit a manual request through a support ticket via the "I have a question about this purchase" option.
I'd keep trying. I obtained success in many games and platforms by forcing the issue. Sometimes the robot will give a canned response so it takes a few tries to get a human.

I'm on a god PC and some games still run like trash due to poor optimization despite my specs being able to run them well. Are we done assuming stuff now?

What's your laptop and/or desktop specs? I'm running this fine on a 2060, 16 GB RAM and an i7 core 9th gen and I'm on a laptop lol

I'm on 4080, Ryzen 5800x and it lags at times. I'm running at 1080p but it's as though I'm on 4k with all settings maxed.

Performance needs improving with some updates pretty quick else I'll be refunding too.

Got 90 mins playtime so far so holding off until the first patch.

Tried one of those ini tweak mods on nexus? They helped a bit for me.

I have 32GB of RAM, and am on a Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285K as well as a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. If you wanna act smart and pretend I don't cuz it suits your argument, go ahead. I'll just send proof. This PC can literally run EVERY game out there, on the highest setting without cracking 50 celsius and without hitching.

Download Lumen Begone from the Nexus. It will disable Ray Tracing, but the game will run better.

Already tried that hours ago. Got me some spikes into 50 fps, but as soon as I started heading toward the city, the performance tanked again.
