It's literally outdated at this point, we know canonically that the "races" of Tamriel can interbreed. Therefore, we can rightfully assume there is truly only 1 race in Tamriel that is divided by outdated and racist categorisation based on real world bigotry.

I therefore propose that going forward in future Elder Scrolls titles, the 10 "Races" of Tamriel be re-categorised as "Faction Types" 1-10.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. So here is mine. That mind set has infected all branches of western entertainment.

All of the sudden old stories have to change because it does not align with modern times according to you. those stories have been around so long because they resonate throughout generations. stop being so narrow minded and do not try to make everything a reflection on how you see the world. diversity is a good thing as long as you allow for different point of views.

I get that this is parody, but have you considered that you are also agreeing then that more specificity in your ability to define your character is better? If that is the case, sure male/female would be better-ish, but then wouldn't even more ways to define your character be truly better? The only reason why the character creator is not truly an open canvas is because someone would complain that you can make a woman with a square jaw. Why stop at less options? Especially if the point is to let someone escape into somewhere and someone else?

The company seems to agree with this. How do we all feel about the Origins? People complain about this Body Type stuff but I've only ever heard good things about origins and it's literally half of the original mechanic. Maybe someone is gonna find out that one body type is better for speed running? The company took a game that allows you to get granular as heck and gave you more ways to break it.

If they had just given it a stat difference you wouldn't care, and god help us all if they worked like a perk system. Fallout New Vegas proved a decade ago, if you offer the people a flat 5% damage boost (or a cheap heal) they'll put anything in their mouth.

Also, a mixed heritage character would be this whole scenario times ten. Wouldn't you like to play an Argonian that has better skill list? How about a imperial/bosmer feme/female roleplaying as a cannibal Snow White summoning the forrest critters to catch your meals for you. These games are what you put into them, I hope you don't start hating the games you already love because the makers want as any people to feel the way you did the first you picked it up.
