You are low on magicka, you are overencumbered
These messages keep flashing on the screen, but neither are true....

Does anyone know why this is?

I keep getting "you are over-encumbered" when I cast spell to relieve burden. And I am not over burdened actually at that point. Sounds like a bug. Never got erroneous "you are low on magicka".

its not a bug if there is a magic spell enemy nearby, they can cast weakness spell on you to slow you down and also drain your own magic powers

No, it happens everywhere, without any enemies. No debuffs were cast on me. It happens in cities and inside your home, so no enemies around and no negative effects cast.

Did you figure it out? I'm getting both over encumbered and not enough Magicka notices constantly for no reason.

Edit: Must be a bug, I restarted the game and it went away

Oh yeah, I find that after awhile it just stops cycling those messages. It just might take a really long time.

Yeah it will display ALL messages it was trying to display. And will not stop until it finishes. This leads to an endless string of messages. That may have not been relevant for 10+ minutes.
LIke for example, if you were to be holding down the cast button, with low magicka, waiting for the exact moment you have enough to cast. Well, it will try telling you, for each failed cast that you have low magicka. Which could be quite a few times, depending on how long you were holding it down.
Same with being overencumbered. Which it will trying telling you every time pick up an item, and I think every step you take.
So you just get left with a giant backlog of messages. And it will make sure you get them all.
This actually causes a problem is displaying things you might NEED to know. Like getting diseases or damaged attributes. As it might not get around to showing you for a long time. And even then they just get instantly replaced with another message, before you even notice they were there.

You need to visit a church in town and get cleansed. Your stats take damage from attacks from time to time and you need to fix that up again.

As soon a possible craft a spell that restores all attributes str, willpower int and so on that cures disease also with 1 click.

Then make a habit of casting that spell from time to time.

Cheap to just have it restore 3 to all attributes for a few seconds without the cure disease for low magic players.

You only need to purchase 1 restore attribute spell of any kind to craft this spell.
