Yeah there's a 2gb update on Gamepass but apparently it broke frame generation.
same thing, I start game and it will crash after about 1 minute, no matter I load a game or stay in the main menu.
During my first time play (about 1,5 hours) i had nothing to complain about, But after that I simply can't continue any of my previous saves - the game freezes either on the loading screen or after 5 secs in the game. Kinda frustrating. RTX 4080, SSD, 64 gb RAM. The cpu is a bit old (i5-9400), but that wasn't a problem when I played for the first time. PLayed with parameters, checked for a new driver, checked the integrity... Didn't try to delete sc files, but it's kinda rediculous - I had zero problems with 99% of the games. Heck, even Cyberpunk 77 had ZERO bugs or framedrops for me on first release date.... And now this... UE with its shaders...

Just a heads up, create manual saves. Once this happens you need to lose progress and load a save that is safe. From there, it seems, you need to fast travel to another area. If you try to save after loading a safe save it seems that the save is unusable and you will continue to have the same problem. I have had this happen twice where a save becomes unusable.

This is exactly my experience, and I've also lost my save so now I have to begin again. I was able to put in quite a few hours seemingly with no issues, logged in the next day loaded with errors and crashes. My saved game is corrupted somehow so I decided to reinstall, and all the same errors are occurring.

I will try a new save, but it sometimes crashes on the main menu, plus it says not installed on a SSD (it is NVMe not sata) from what I know on my current save is anytime I get in combat the game crash after a few sec if I’m walking in the open I last a little longer.

Unfortunately I am also unable to even launch the game, where it instantly crashes and I get the bug report linked by the OP.

I've reverifyed the installed game filed and ofc restarted my computer

Good thing is; I've seen a few larger youtube channels discuss this big issue so maybe the devs will get on it quickly. They arent Bethesda, after all.

happened to me after installing Ultimate Engine Tweaks from nexus mods

I received the "OblivionRemastered_Win64_Shipping" error but fixed it with this post

I found the problem! Vortex is messing up the plugin.txt file. After restoring the file to the original load order of the base ESP, there were no more issues. So Uninstall all the mods in Vortex. Then delete all the lines in the plugins.txt file and copy in the original load order. After that, you can reinstall the mods through Vortex without any issues.

The correct load order is as follows

Oblivion.esm
DLCBattlehornCastle.esp
DLCFrostcrag.esp
DLCHorseArmor.esp
DLCMehrunesRazor.esp
DLCOrrery.esp
DLCShiveringIsles.esp
DLCSpellTomes.esp
DLCThievesDen.esp
DLCVileLair.esp
Knights.esp
AltarESPMain.esp
AltarDeluxe.esp
AltarESPLocal.esp

did this work for you? im contemplating restarting because i have a feeling my save could be corrupt. i have the exact same issue as you were the game freezes then crashes after a minute or so

I don't want to read every reply, but I found a unique resolution to my crashing issue WITH MODS.

The issue: Installing mods through Nexus and crashing no matter the mod used, if something is enabled I have to verify file integrity and try again. It launches fine without mods after verifying integrity and launching after disabling all mods. Crashing after installing any mod to Oblivion Remastered or "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION".

Resolution: Go into Vortex, click the button that says "Load Order" on the left-hand side (for me) where it says Mods/Collections/Load Order under the tabs that says Downloads/Games/Extensions/etc. --- Once you're in the "Load Order" tab, click "Reset Plugins File" and do that. Vortex messes up the load order, thus not capable of launching and this should hopefully fix someone else's problem.

Unreal 5 is very unstable for my PC with most games, but I managed to get Oblivion to stop frequently crashing like this today. First I started with Performance Core Ratio underclocking my i9-14900k CPU down from 58x to 52x. Then in the Oblivion Remaster folder, I found the game icon, went to properties and selected "Run game as administrator" under the compatibility tab. So far I've had full stability for about 5 hours, when before, it was crashing every 15-20 mins.

Hey no, I actually uninstalled it and reinstalled it started a new save and it crashed immediately on the character creation screen with the same error.

I also encountered contant crashes om my 13900k and rtx5090, sometimes I crash 2-3 times in an hour, sometimes I am able to play for 5h straitght wothout crashes. Also I encountered “out of vram” error while loading my safe AFTER crash. This type of error as far I know, is an intel thing.
