Notifications

I have one complaint, the notifications in the top left that let me know I am out of mana or I'm over encumbered. This thing will flash constantly. Yes I know I'm too fat, thanks for reminding me.

But the real issue is that even once I waddle all the way to a merchant and offload I still get the notification flashing for the next 10 minutes. Does anyone know of a way to either turn that notification off or reduce it's frequency? I didn't see anything in the settings, but I might just be blind.
