Unreal Engine was a mistake
Ever since last night the game has been having an Unreal Engine crash in the open world surrounding Anvil Castle, I can still access Dunbarrow Cove but only through the hidden passage in the castle.

On the old oblivion all the gold coast was nightmare for me, that's where most of my crashes happened in the old game... But maybe I was just unlucky
What's your rig specs and what settings are you running it on?
Also, are you using mods or custom tweaks that aren't supported by the UI in-game?

Milk was a bad choice
The whole point of this remaster was getting rid of the aged creation/gamebryo engine, trying to port an old bethesda game into UE5.

For me it was always Bruma that had the crashes on the old Oblivion, really wish the Oldblivion mod didn't exist because that feels like it flows better in speaking

The specs shouldn't matter as I was running it just fine before hand, I've already got Dunbarrow fully upgraded and upgraded the other player houses through the Mage's guild, Arena questline, and the Dunbarrow pirate raiding, mostly the Dunbarrow pirate raiding, it's also completely vanilla and has been the entire time, but even still I've tried doing it through various settings even resorting to turning everything to the lowest, I'm running a 2080 TI and a 3800x with 32gb ram, don't get me wrong I'm already well aware I won't be able to play it at maxed out graphics with all the ray tracing all the way up and everything but I'm definitely above or at the recommended specs

Except they didn't even get rid of it because it runs the code in the background and UE5 is just for the graphics as confirmed by Bethesda and Virtuos, the crash is always a UE5 error report meaning it's a graphics related crash

I've now verified across multiple PCs that are all at or above recommended specs and they all crash at the exact same points, tried verifying files and it showed no error in the files, this is something that needs to be patched
Unity/Gamemaker/Godot would not handle this game

thats why they stuck unreal 5 ontop of the already broken mess of a crappy engine called gamebryo engine,
and yes this version uses two different engines at the sametime gamebryo apparently handles gameplay well unreal 5 handles the graphics.
Can also confirm, cannot approach Anvil at all. Walking just up the hill from Kvatch towards it causes a complete graphics adapter freeze with the graphics driver spitting out:

Same thing happens when approaching from the south, as soon as the castle appears in view the game freezes completely.
Hasn't happened anywhere else during my 10 hours.
Same here! I’m about 47 hours in, completely finished the fighters guild, arena, and a GRIP of side quests including all the dlc player houses that involved me traveling to and from anvil!

Iv been using dunbarrow cave’s resources, crew and everything but now I can’t get anywhere near anvil without the game crashing out?? Iv never had this issue before?
Make sure to report this bug to Bethesda. I haven't experienced any crashes around Anvil myself, but I have noticed a randomly huge fps drop near the front gates. I got down to 20 to 30 fps in that one spot, despite usually hovering around 70 to 100 fps in open world. Weird. I can see how this instability might eventually result in a crash. Anvil always seemed to have sketchy performance, even in the original release.
It's been crashing a lot for a lot of reasons. I think it's just UE by itself. The Oblivion engine is extremely outdated and I suspect there may be some compatibility issues in the codes for each.
