Second Battle for Kvatch?

I've just returned to Kvatch for "Aid for Bruma" (may the plague take this quest), and found a massive battle in the courtyard of the castle.
This may be connected to a bug that let me not complete the courtyard battle quest stage, and I had to skip by going in and bringing out the count's ring.
Either way, now I have an unarmored Savlian Matius on my team and 12 high-tier daedra (daedroths, xivilai and storm atronarchs). This is not particularly engaging.
