Go Fish quest doesn't work.
The quest marker points to nothing. When you go to the spot in the water, nothing is there. I swam around randomly for 10 minutes and found exactly 1 Rumare slaughterfish out of 10 or 12 or whatever you need. Same problem as the OG game. Please fix Bethesda, thanks.

Just done the quest, if you cant see the fish on the surface it is either resting on the bottom underwater or it will be flopping around on the riverbank. Helps to use the water breathing spell to get the one's underwater.

It does. You’re just not using your brain. The marker doesn’t point to exactly where the fish is. Just the area where the fish can be found. Use that brain of yours.

I found a helmet of Black Marsh that has the water breathing effect on it in the dungeon after I got this quest. It made it so much easier as others have said the marker is a starting point you need to swim around some. They found me so it became easy to get the required number for the quest.

I did this quest twice now and didn't have any problems. Most of the fish were right on the bank, but not necessarily at the marker. But it could help to go away and come back later. The second time, I had the feeling that the game spawned more fish when I came back.

use a detect life spell or look for the white water ripples on the surface where they swim
Yea, you can find the Fish in the entire of the lake, not just the one point.
Oh right, detect life is a thing. Probably more useful than me swimming around endlessly.
And by the way, just for the record, in the original, the quest markers DID point to where you can find individual fish, and then it moved to the spot where you could find the next fish. Do your research before you talk down to me in the forums. Thanks.

Yeah, the quest works fine and yes the quest maker normally shows the next fish, only sometimes it doesn’t work right. A simple quicksave and reload always helped me to fix it.

After repeated saves and reloads, the fish finally started spawning at the marker, then followed the water bubbles to find the others. I still say it's bugged out, but then again, so is the MQ section where Savlius Mattius needs to follow you into Castle Kvatch, but that's a discussion for another day.

Quest works fine. Search the lake perimeter, search the center. Did it yesterday. Took me about 20 minutes
