Luck drops to 16.

I started a character that has 60 luck, and at some point i look at his attributes and it says my luck is in the red, indicating something is affecting it, and that it is now 16. I look in the active effects and nothing at all is listed as effecting luck.

Thinking back though, i seem to remember this happens every time i used to play the game way back in the day. There's something or other you do that just permanently curses your luck, unless you get it restored somehow, but i really can't remember what the heck it was. Anyone know what it is?

its the side effect from using the scroll to lift the invisibility curse in that village that i dont remember the name now. I dunno if there's a way to restore our luck back :(

I found a post from 6 years ago on gamefaqs that mentions a quest for invisible villages, and someone said this: "You have to visit a chapel altar, wayshire, or use a restore luck to gain this back but fortunately the effect doesn't cost permanent luck damage."

Oh ok, right. Yeah, that was probably it because i just did that quest not long ago.
I just happened to have a weak potion of fortune in my inventory and i used that it and it did restore like 5 points of my luck, but now i got to find more of them m'er f'ers now i guess.

try finding a wayshrine to cleanse the debuff

For me it was the 'Zero Visibility' quest, dropped my luck to 7.
Pray at a chapel to restore it.
I did it at Weynon Priory.

Yeah, i know that. I usually have too much infamy to use them. I was more concerned about finding out what caused it though.
