So long as you are killing stuff and not getting one shot you are fine. Normal difficulty shouldn't be too much of a problem for the quicker leveling. Expert it starts to be a real issue.
Oh, and luck is the hard stat to level up. You need 50, 45, or 35 lvl ups to lvl luck to 100 so start it early regardless.
Further, this makes me worried that more melee/utility driven characters will be able to easily max magic skills if they so choose, overcoming the minor skill xp penalty via casting costly spells.
I love the remaster, but the balance seems awful.
