Wil-O-The-Wisp Hitboxes are total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Morning yall,

The Wil-O-The-Wisp is the most obnoxious enemy in the game for it's total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hitboxes. I am firing arrows directly through them with no effect at all. It's absolute RNG and the devs need to fix this.

I play a stealth archer most of the time and having one enemy that is going to just not get hit and I waste dozens of arrows on is the most annoying ♥♥♥♥ imaginable. And no, I can't just switch to a melee magic weapon, because the Wisp steals my health.

agreed, can't hit them unless you're point blank. I just bought glow dust.
Seconded. The hitbox appears to randomly appear either on the sprite, above, or below it.

Really? AFAICR it was a bug also in the original game... so sad they didn't fix the many bugs.

They fixed nothing xD Just take the old game, re-shade it and leave all the rest as it was. The game have still the same bug, gltich, exploit and other things. Combat it's still like the original one, crappy as ever. You do 2 attack, move back a little, enemy miss, do 2 attack again, enemy miss.... you wanna use magic? No problem, fire spell and run backward, they will never get you. You are an archer dude? Np, NPC are so stupid that they will never get you, even get locked under door sometimes. 1 daedra was bugged under the stair, he never moved and i slowly killed him with my bare hands, just for fun

I haven't fought one yet in the remaster, if I recall right from the original they do this phase thing where they aren't always in this reality so you had to time things correctly which made them a pain when using a bow.

A funny story related to wisps in one of my original play through a mounted patrolling guard got of his horse to fight one. The horse got involved and somehow the Wisp ended up on top of the saddle hitting the horse which caused its flee script to activate so there was this keystone cop situation with the guard chasing the horse being hit by the wisp around. The real funny thing was every time I went to that area I would see the same situation.

Nope, played this a lot as a kid, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I don't remember them being so bad.

There also might be something going on with archery in general. Earlier I was fighting imps in a ruin. I could see the imp silhouetted in a door arch across a large room but somehow my arrow wasn't hitting it. The appearance was almost as if the arrow was disappearing before it could reach the target. Once I got closer I was able to hit it no problem I am wondering if there is something funky with the draw distance where you can see objects that aren't actually rendered fully.

This sounds like a bug that I'll actually like. Those things should be hard to hit
Just to be sure you were using Silver or Daedric arrows yes? Fairly certain Will-o's count as "ghost" type enemies IIRC.

The hitboxes are so bad the first time I fought one and used Silver arrows I genuinely thought they were immune to them and and I needed a magic bow.
