New update broke dlss?

been working fine with fg and stuff until now...

Yep. 1.9GB update. No more DLSS. Also reset all graphics quality to Ultra. Also equipped my torch for some reason.

Yeah, wow. Performance went straight in the ****ter after this update. I’ve got a 4090, and everything defaulted to Ultra and ran just fine until this update.

submit a ticket on the bethesda.net support section

the patch isnt released on steam. and if it has an unintentional bug in it then it might never be released on steam in its current form.

The stuttering for me has gone away for the most part since the new update.

Yeah, it's broken now. Can't activate DLSS or even FSR.
Without those the game is unplayable.
Not that it matters much as the game crashes for me every hour or so.
AI seems broken as well. Most opponents run in a half circle around me before attacking for absolutely no reason.
Typical Bethesda and UE5 ♥♥♥♥-show...
Luckliy I'm playing on GamePass PC or I would have refunded already.

Nice to know, i've been trying to make sure my game doesn't get updated for last 30 minutes after seeing those posts. People who did get the update, which platform did u use ?

You can bring it back by using the Nvidia Profile Inspector.
Make sure you do not use the Nvidia App or Nvidia GeForce Experience — if you do, they will override the settings you make with the Profile Inspector.
In the Profile Inspector, select the GLOBAL_DRIVER_PROFILE (I couldn’t find Oblivion in the list, so I chose the global profile).
Then go to 5 - Common and set the following:


DLSS - Enable DLL Override → On - DLSS overridden by latest available


DLSS - Forced Preset Letter → Preset K


DLSS - Forced Quality Level → Set it to whatever you prefer


By default, games typically use Preset C, which is based on a very old version of DLSS.
With the override method, you force the game to use the latest available DLSS technology, giving you much better image quality and performance compared to the outdated default.

yeah im on game pass so maybe you want to hold on that new update if you use DLSS because without it, im unable to play the game :D

How do you avoid downloading the update? My play button has been replaced by "update" (on gamepass)

Hopefully they don’t put this ♥♥♥♥ on steam rip to all steam deck users if this happens I just finally tweaked enough for a stable 30fps in 98 % of the game.

Doesn't work for me sadly. Tried with and without swapping the dlss version with dlss swapper.

Yup. You cannot use any upscaling or frame gen on game pass with the update
