DLSS deleted with a new update? try this

so i just downloaded new 1.9 gb update (gaepass) and now i cant turn on DLSS on my rtx 3070. i was usiing it but the game says now you need atleast the series 4xxx are u kidden of me?

Add these lines to Engine.ini:

Altar.UpscalingMethod=1
Altar.DLSS.Quality=4
Altar.DLSS.FG.Enabled=1
Altar.Reflex.Mode=3

DLSS Quality -> 4 = Quality, 5 = Balanced, 6 = Performance, 7 = Ultra Performance
Reflex: 1 = On, 3 = On + Boost
Engine. ini path:
Game Pass - C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\WinGDK
Steam - C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows

Do not forget to set the file to read-only! This also works when using the DLSS + FSR mod.

If you prefer FSR:

They dropped an update (1.0.4.0) on Game Pass which deleted DLSS and frame generation. Bascially, they are suggesting to quit the game until good mods come...

Im on gamepass as well and just noticed that after installing the patch, the slider just has off and thats it lmao. Only Bethesda could release a patch and break the game more

its not on steam yet, but disabling dlss and framegen has been done before with other games especially if it is the cause of crashing and performance issues

in this game dlss is for some reason quite performance intensive compared to fsr - a lot more than it should be in comparison

and i for one have crashes which are alleviated somewhat by turning off framegen

they also on their website state that users should use the nvidia hotfix driver 576.15
now, if that has identified and addressed an issue, then they might have disabled dlss until the driver is properly out.

He's right, not only are you paying full price instead of waiting for a sale. But that premium is for the honor of beta testing on their behalf. No amount of tamper tantrum will change that reality.

Just FYI, I'm on 566.36 and it ran fine. Latest NVIDIA drivers were a mess for sure.
