So the optimization is Terrible...
Turning on FSR, frame gen, going from high to low on every single setting does absolutely nothing for performance. I wasn't expecting amazing performance from a Bethesda game week 1 but going from 140+ fps average in the sewers to going to 30-40 fps with constant stuttering is unacceptable in 2025.

Hate to burst your bubble, but its now the norm, and has been now that devs are using FG to mask these things for the past few years.

Also, its UE5. 'Nuff said.

That's what happens when you use a Game Engine designed for consoles to make a game for consoles and optimise it for consoles.

You get a game that isn't optimised for PC and runs poorly on PC's.
What are you specs? Have you turned RT off? Have you lowered your Render distance? Have you tried running it in 2k rather than 4k?

3060 ti at 1080p. Tried setting everything to low. I'll get a fps boost for a couple seconds and then back to the big FPS dips and constant stuttering.

CPUs are now a major bottleneck, as well as RAM.

A 3060 doesn't cut it for VRAM on modern games. We're in the middle of major engine jumps and you will not see the longevity out of cards until it's settled down.
JUST LIKE THE GOOD OLD OBLIVION AMAZING I KNOW

Sounds like Vram...sucks but seems to be that 8 GB isn't cutting it for anything anymore...the only thing crazier than that is AMD and Nvidea STILL plan to sell these things

3060 Ti w/ 5900x here, win11, RT Medium, High Detail, dlss balanced, 50fps on average and a nice experience even 3ft from a 65 inch screen..

I do have 64gb but that doesn't explain the difference; is ReBar enabled if you open the nvidia driver's system information?

The game's main asset file is also >100GB so not running it from an m.2 ssd might also cause extra stuttering.
