Just did this, and 576.28 works for me as well. Nothing past that currently does (576.40 and 576.52 both crashed constantly for me)
I also went back to 576.28. With the newest one the 576.52 I can’t even play any UE5 game. Grayzone Warfare also went crashing after that..
PC Specs:
OS - Win 10 / latest updates installed
CPU - i9 9900K
GPU - Nvidia RTX 4080 Super / latest Nvidia Driver
Mem - 32GB 3200 MHz
Storage - 2TB Samsung 990Pro NVMe
Overclocking - None
Mods - None
Yesterday i played about an hour and experienced 4 Crashes in this session.
Some "fixes" that seem to "work" to an extent is a combination of rebuilding the shaders (deleting the settings file in the save game directory) and using XeSS instead of DLSS or FSR. XeSS seems to be the most stable and i don't really notice any significant differences in performance or visuals while playing.
The crashes still happen, but not as frequently.
Crashes are so random tho. They happen on transitions or just running around in towns or in the wilderness. 10 minutes between crashes or hours.
One new type of crash that started happening is the game just plain freezing 🤨
R7 7700x
32gb ddr5 ram
RTX 5070
No mods or overclocks.
It's a ♥♥♥♥♥ shame, really. This is such a good remaster, just plagued with these ♥♥♥♥ problems 😒
for me no more GPU Crash Dump Triggered Fatal Error (1 crash for 1-2hours playing (sometimes no one) instead of 1 crash every 10 minutes before
since i've done this :
*update motherboard bios to latest
* install nvidia drivers 576.52 from May 19,2025
if it can help...
I tried a lot of fix that didn't work. I was about to install old drivers version when I just checked and updated Windows 11 Pro 64 and the BIOS of my mobo, and it did the trick, no more crashes and I still have the latest NVIDIA driver # 576.52. Hope this will help. Cheers
I hope it works for u too
have fun
here on new laptop with 4050 i already have 5 crashes wtf?
Also try this fix:

and this fix:
if that one does not work.

If you are on Windows 24H2. You can switch back to Windows 11 23H2 or Windows 10 22H2. 24H2 is broken buggy/mess.
If you are using Nvidia then go back to the December 05, 2024 drivers. Version 566.36 (If you are not on 5000 series) and stay on those if you are on 5000 series then download latest. The the 572 and 576 series are buggy mess after introducing 5000 series. Yes you lose out on DLSS4 and MFG, but you avoid the bugs.
Intel 13 series and 14 series have a habit of dying/crashing.
If your CPU is on the list you can get an RMA via intel. (2 year warranty extension on top of the 3 year warranty).

Turn off auto saves.
Install a driver known to work and leave it on global defaults.
Look up Oblivion ini tweaks for new hardware and apply those tweaks to the 'Oblivio ini'.
Don't touch anything to do with UE5 like for example the 'Engineini'. Just leave it alone.
Install 'auto saver' and 'gomstar purger' that are for the old blivion.
These fixes worked for me. I also had to do a clean install after trying out many engine ini's because they some how or who knows but my game became very corrupted its seemed from using those.
Now my game runs beautiful and I was even able to up fsr from balanced to Quality.
Also don't use custom settings, use the normal 'low', 'medium' 'high' settings. Because UE5 might spaz on u.....lol serious though, don't use custom settings.
Oh and always make Hard Saves and never use an auto save.
The auto save mod is for stability, you don't ever actually use the auto saves. Only load Hard Saves.
Don't know if this would help or not but I had to same problem. I locked my fps at 60 turned off DLSS and switched it to FSR. 10 hours later still no crash.
