No only had one manual save at the time

Was playing and the game crashed while i was in cave. then on restarting the saves were gone and clicking continue just crashes the game.

You either have onedrive backup actives (so your save are not stored in the right place) or used super long names and / or with special marks (like quotes "") .
Still user error.

Just a warning people, hope it happens to no-one else. not user error, I was just exploring and game crashed, restarted game to no saves. very simple.

yes it happened to me too, im playing on the gamepass and my game crashed as i was just exploring. I go to reboot the game and it starts to compile shaders, weird because it never had to do that after 33 hours of playtime. After the shaders compile the game goes through the whole accept terms of service thingy. when i get to the menu alll my saves are gone and i have to start a new. Ripbozo
