BAD Adept vs Expert Difficulty Scaling
The game is gorgeous, but i have this only gripe:
(I enjoy a good challenge but i am not a fan of sweating and min-maxing to the last %)

Adept - way too easy and boring for a player such as myself.

Expert - enemies feel three times as tough and at times just unfair to the point where i just have to rely on cheese with OPTIMIZED builds.

For combat based characters, perfect blocks and dodges just penalize you, as the only viable way to deal with enemies is to use speed to evade attacks and very slowly nibble on their health bar.

Don't get me started on stealth based characters that make you jump on hard to get places to unalive mobs with a bow as sneak damage even with daggers is a giant joke.

Hats off to people who actually play on master.


I'd very much like a difficulty setting like survival in fallout 4.

This type of difficulty where you can die in a few hits but were also able to deal damage yourself, was a lot of fun. Rewarding good gameplay decisions and making blocks and evades viable again in terms of stamina management.


Hopefully someone looks at this and makes this masterpiece of a game truly enjoyable in terms of combat.

I've been using the following mod for the difficulty settings. The scaling feels a lot better now as it places both Expert and Master in between the current Adept and Expert difficulty wise. Thus it's perfect if you consider Adept to be too easy and Expert to be too hard, which was also one of my main issues.

When playing as a melee, it's extremely difficult on the highest difficulty. With summoning, it's easy. This isn't balanced.

Yeah this has always been a problem. There's a mod on nexus that adjusts it
