The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

FSR 3 / FSR 4
Hi everyone,

In the in-game graphics settings, the option only displays FSR3, even though my GPU (RX 9070 XT with Adrenalin 25.4.1 drivers) supports FSR4.

My question is:
If I enable "FSR3" in the menu and my hardware supports FSR4, will the game automatically utilize FSR4—even if it still says FSR3 in the UI?

Hello, no, it doesnt work that way.

The devs didnt use FSR4 in the game, they would have to implement it on their side.
Thanks for the clarification!
Just one thing I'm still wondering:
If the AMD driver explicitly lists FSR4 as supported for Oblivion Remastered, what's the point of that entry if the game doesn't actually use it?

Yep FSR4 is - so far - only for RX 9xxx series.
There are rumors that RX 7xxx might get it in the future, but nothing above that.

only the RX9000 series supports FSR4 as it's hardware based not software like the older versions of FSR, But AMD did say they are looking in to adding support for older GPU's so fingers crossed we should hopefully get it at some point...
Sorry for the confusion! I actually have a Radeon RX 9070 XT, not a 7900 XT – So FSR4 should be supported on my system, at least from the hardware and driver side.
To enable FSR4 on the 9070xt you have to enable it in adrenalin for the specific game, its under the setting for FMF, but beware, enabling frame generation ingame with it, was causing crashes when loading a new zone, so if you start crashing try disabling frame generation.

You need to toggle it on in the driver, go in to your driver then gaming find the Oblivion profile and thier should be a toggle switch for switching to FSR 4 you need to be running the latest optional driver as Oblivion is not supported in the official driver.
