Performance Improvement Suggestion
I am behind on hardware running a 2080 with an i5 10th gen, so, with that being said I can play the game on High settings, 80-100+fps, with DLSS on quality + Frame Gen using the following mods:

Ultimate Engine Tweaks
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/35?tab=description

dlssg-to-fsr3
https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=description

The first mod is an Engine.ini file. Follow the description to download the correct file and place it in the correct location. Make sure to make the file Read Only in its properties.

The second mod allows you to use DLSS with FSR Frame Gen. For NVIDIA users obviously. I recommend downloading the universal file for the necessary .dlls as well as the non-universal file for the registry file. The registry may be needed to prevent NVIDIA checks, which, I do believe, also enabled Reflex in the game options as it wasn't there before. You have to enable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling in your Windows Settings. Restart you PC for this setting to take effect. Disable in-game Vsync. These last two settings are in the "Posts" section of the mod page not in the description.

I have a pretty buttery smooth experience with DLSS set to Quality, Frame Gen set to On, and Nvidia Reflex enabled (without boost) using High settings across the board.

For those of us having performance issues please give these a try, and comment below for future users seeking a temporary solution if this benefits your performance.

Optional: I use the app DLSS Swapper to swap out the DLSS files for the games I play. So I am using the latest DLSS .dll file available. This probably isn't necessary, but thought I'd include this in the post as well.

This smells too good to be true...but I'll give it a go.

I can post screenshots to the imgsli website if that helps. Not the same as seeing it in action, but it definitely made the game far more playable than it was.

I edited the post to after you replied to note that Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling in WIndows Settings needs to be on for the FSR mod and disable in-game Vsync. After I enabled that setting in Windows and restarted my PC, the mod worked. It doesn't say that in the mod description. Only in the Posts section will you see that in one of the sticky comments.

Nope, you're good. I've applied it and it's genuine wizardy. Bit of a loss of colour fidelity but I reckon that's the chromatic abberation they've disabled. But no, fair play, I've just got a 40-50% speed boost from that, even with a couple of settings bumped up a notch or two! Thank you for sharing it!

Nice. The more options available to users the better. With the mods in my post I can at least set Software RT to high. I can enable hardware rt, and still hit about 60fps, but it's less smooth. Software RT is so much smoother.

With the mod you suggested I may mess around with ReShade and see if Marty's RTGI shader looks any good without tanking FPS too much. Thanks for the suggestion.

Bump. Because this deserves a bump since so many folks are having performance issues, and posts are created too fast for this to stay near the first couple of pages.
