You have to open windows explorer and type in
C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames
So I added that to Quick Access. I have a batch file in the saved games folder than every so often I double click and it zips up all my savegames. I also NEVER use quicksave, always hard saves because Bethesda quicksaves have always been buggy.
Eesh, sounds like you were much further along than I was! The main advantage to having played the original a thousand times is that I didn't have to re-create what progress I lost because I've been everywhere I explored a hundred times, but it still sucked lol
Yeah, I originally found out they were missing because I usually hit Continue when I start the game up, and it bumped me back to Chorrol with my crappy iron armor.
I've been playing Bethesda games since Morrowind but never outright had any of the games delete a save of mine, I guess I just got unlucky this time heh. I turned off Steam's saves cloud sync in case that might have been part of the issue.
As for backups, I could consider that but it seems like a lot of work considering the fact that this is the first ever time I've had something like this happen.
Thanks for the tip but unfortunately, I already tried it. I could see all of my saves up until I shut the game down on the first night. I've since rebuilt my character but yeah, it was quite a bummer when it happened.
