steel armor removes the argonian tail
probably that of kahjits too, iron armor dont remove the tail for no reasons...now question comes from wich armor does remove the tail and wich dont

Robes do this as well. And dresses. Probably other armor sets too. It got so bad that I shelved my argonian playthrough.

I always feel awkward playing an Argonian or Khajiit, because although I do like the designs, it always looks out of place when I start wearing all the armors. Doesn't fit the kind of fantasy I want for my character, I guess.

This doesn't really help things. Hopefully a mod fixes it quickly.

This! I was excited to play Argonian mage but the robes cutting the tails off kills me. I'm using Shrouded Armor/Hood for now, seeing how the tails don't get cut off in the armor.

Mages shouldn't wear robes anyway. You'll want as many pieces as possible for enchanting. That means keeping your prison shackles, wearing a top and pants, two rings and an amulet.

Same thing I do for my front tail. I tuck it.
