Well glad I chose to ignore it.
If memory serves right, and it has been years, and this is a remaster (but mostly a new paint job, not much has actually changed), but i recall there was a random unmarked house near the chapel of knights of the nine that could get "cut in half" by an oblivion gate, making it inaccessible, despite a skill book being present in the upstairs area. That was the only thing i had to make sure i got before gates started opening. Might be able to progress otherwise normally despite the bug as a result.
