UE5 - Literally the worst engine on planet earth.

Seriously who at Bethesda (or anyone at that outsourced 3rd world studio in France) thought its a good idea to use UE5 which is extremely demanding graphics wise not to mention many limitations to user interface?
I cringed at Stalker 2 choosing the same terrible engine for their game. Is it because its easy to work in it as a dev? Even tho end customer will suffer more?

At this point i would rather see them milk Creation engine to the max and have Oblivion with F4/Starfield level of graphics.

The game still uses creation engine underneath UE5. UE5 is only for rendering the graphics, but underlying mechanics and physics are still original engine.

Well then my genuine question is why the mechanics worked in Oblivion yet they dont work in Oblivion Remastered? Should i blame the French?

Exactly the opposite. Great engine with great optimization tools.
Developers unable to use it, are the issue.
And, people with no common sense that pretend to have 300 fps on an old system

Mostly those people.
Especially people with bottlenecked systems that think their GPU is the most important component for everything.

Tbh the main issue is the same issue i had with Stalker 2 - Hardcoded keybinds which basically makes the game unplayable for me as i am left handed and i have very specific layout. (numpad 2,4,6 and 8 makes you look down, left, right and up respectively even tho you rebind something else over it. In that moment both actions occur)

Sure, i could download keybinder and manually redo it for myself but doing this for a 55 euro game is too much. Im not the "eat all the slop" type of customer.
